Hey everyone! Hope you are having a great weekend! I spent over 4 hours swatching yesterday and I will be showing you the fruits of that marathon swatch-fest over this coming week!
Today I have two of the nail polishes just released with Illamasqua's Toxic Nature collection.
My exposure to Illamasqua polishes has been limited because of how expensive they are in Australia, but I'm glad to say that the few times I have used their polishes, the formula and application has been great. These two were no exception.
Purity - Light peach cream. I have been on the search for a colour like this for a really long time! I thought that China Glaze's Peachy Keen was my Holy Grail when it came out, but the colour was wrong. Purity on the other hand is perfect! You can see a comparison of the two colours here. This is two coats.
Radium - Illamasqua describes this as an "acidic lime, shimmer finish" and that is spot on! The chemical element Radium is radioactive and luminescent and this polish definitely looks like it has a radioactive glow! Bright, shimmery, green goodness!
After trying these two Illamasqua's I am now officially lemming every single one of their polishes! haha! What do you guys think of these?
Ooooh I love Purity, definitely going to get that. Radium is a bit too.. icky? For me hahaa.
ReplyDelete@thegirlwithabow - haha yeh it is definitely one of those ugly pretty colours... But I love how it makes my nails look like they are glowing!
ReplyDeleteI love them both, those colors make me looking forward to spring !
ReplyDeleteRadium will be mine! lol Hmm I wonder if there is a dupe... I have no Illamasqua's. :(
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with Radium. It is such an unique color. I also really like Bacterium from this collection.
ReplyDeleteRadium is impressively different. However, I have always resisted Illamasqua as the prices are too steep for me - even when they do their offers. Sad. Hope you checked Radium with a Geiger counter - hopefully there isn't too much actual radium in it :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with the first one!
ReplyDeleteThese are so beautiful! Can't wait to get my hands on them!!
ReplyDeleteI love them both! I swapped the only Illamasqua I had (Prism) because I didn't like it, but I'm tempted to get these...
ReplyDeleteRadium looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love these two, even thought theyre so opposite - definitely the best out of the collection if you ask me!! it is a shame that illamasqua is so expensive, maybe ill try hunting for a dupe, but i doubt it will be as awesome!! keep them coming!

oooommmmmmg i really love radium! such a gorgeous color!
ReplyDeleteThey're beautiful! Loving peach for spring!
ReplyDeletePeach is definitely on trend for spring! And this is one of the better ones I have seen!
ReplyDeleteIt is so unique isnt it! Nothing else like it in my collection
ReplyDeleteA lemming is something you are lusting over after having read a lot of good reviews! You act like a "lemming" and follow the trend by buying it!
ReplyDeleteI think Who The Shrek Are You is close, but doesn't have the shimmer

And for Purity I think China Glaze Sunsent sail is similar

Haha I hope not! Yeh I only have 4 Illamasquas because they are just wayyyy to expensive :(
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried Bacterium but it looks interesting!
ReplyDeleteI've read Who The Shrek Are You from OPI is similar but is missing the shimmer. Maybe you could franken it with a shimmer polish to get the same effect?
ReplyDeleteOh I have never seen Prism... Why didnt you like it???
ReplyDeleteIt is totally gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI bought Radium when the collection came out (infact, the day before it launched in the uk - for 25% off - because I was at the flagship store for a make-up course! exciting.) I got a 25% off code recently and decided to splash out again this time I got Raindrops (the competition winner), Rare (neon yellow), Collide (neon pink), and Bacterium and Purity from Toxic Nature (all of which I am yet to try, judging by your swatch I will love that peach!) x
ReplyDeleteI really want to try their nail polishes :) You know any websites that ship worldwide that sells this brand? :)
ReplyDeleteLove Christine ♥

I think the Illamasqua website ships internationally even though they are based in the UK. I have bought items from them before :)
