OPI Texas - Part 1

Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a great weekend! Mine was filled with celebrations following my admission as a lawyer on Friday! I can now officially call myself and work as a LAWYER! Yay!

I also have another reason to celebrate this weekend - I reached 500 followers on my blog!!! This is extremely exciting because I can now post my huge giveaway! Hopefully I will have this up by tomorrow.

In the mean time, today I have swatches of six of the OPI Texas polishes.

Don't Mess With OPI - Forest green cream. This applied like a dream and only needed two coats. I really like this colour, and in all honesty, greens like this usually don't do it for me. But I'm loving this one!

Check out the other five colours after the jump!

I Vant To Be A Lone Star - Light blue silver with shimmer. Unfortunately, this didn't apply too well. I felt it was a little thick and I still had patches with the second coat, so I had to use a third coat to even it out. End result was pretty though!

San Tan-tonio - Tan cream. I was really excited about this colour, but when I put it on, it just seemed bleh! Maybe it is too close to my skin colour? Application was good though and it only needed two coats for even coverage.

It's Totally Fort Worth It - Silvery frost with pink shimmer. I love this colour! The pink flashes are gorgeous! This needed three coats. Make sure you click on the photos to get a better look at the pink shimmer.

Austin-tatious Turquoise - Blue/green shimmer. This one needed three coats to eliminate VNL. My photos leaned more green, but the colour is definitely more blue. Absolutely stunning!

Suzi Loves Cowboys - Dark chocolate brown cream. I was a bit iffy about this colour in the bottle but it is absolutely gorgeous on the nails! Application was fantastic with this colour as well and it only required two coats. I'm wearing this as my mani.

Overall, I was really impressed with this half of the collection! Application was great with the exception of I Vant To Be A Lone Star, and if I had to pick my favourites they would be Suzi Loves Cowboys and It's Totally Fort Worth It. Which ones are you loving or loathing?

Don't forget that you can win two of these polishes in my OPI Giveaway!

  1. The 2 greens are gorgeous. The others not so much. Lone Star ought to be fabulous but just isn't.

  3. This collection didn't really wow me at all, although I don't mind the look of Don't Mess With OPI.
