How are all your New Year resolutions coming along? I don't generally make any resolutions, but I promised myself I would start eating healthy now and exercise more so that I'm in good shape for the wedding. Unfortunately it has been hard to stick to this while on holidays! I head back home in a couple of days, so I'll jump on the wagon then!
Today I have Part 2 of the Essie Winter 2010 Collection for you.
Being the genius I am, I didn't realise I had stained cuticles from other swatches when I took these photos. Freakin awesomeness! I was going to re-do them, but of course, I broke a nail today - double awesomeness!
Check out my mega craptastic swatches after the jump!
Silken Cord - Vivid orange toned red. This is my favourite out of the three. SC applied ridiculously well with two coats. For some reason you can see VNL in the second pic, but this isn't visible with the naked eye.
Masquerade Belle - Deep burgundy jelly. Application was a little streaky with this one and it took three coats to get it even. Ignoring the stained red cuticles, I really loved the way this vampy colour looked on me.
Luxedo - Deep eggplant jelly. This colour was really hard to capture. It looks almost black in my photos but on the nail, the purple shows up more. You can see what I mean if you look at the left corner of the bottle in the second pic. Luxedo bubbled a little on me, but this may have been a result of a little left over nail polish remover. This was two coats.
Overall, I was really pleased with Essie's Winter 2010 Collection. If I had to pick a favourite, it would have to be Silken Cord, closely followed by Smokin Hot. Which ones are you loving?
